Phil Bliss trained at the Guildford School of Acting receiving the Max Adrian cup on graduation. He also has a degree in Political Theatre from Surrey University.

He worked as an actor for fifteen years in theatre, film and TV before being asked to coach staff members to speak to camera for a long running TV commercial campaign, and the minute he was behind the camera he realised that was where he should be. From then on focusing entirely on teaching voice he worked for over a decade at top London Drama Schools, including The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (London University), developing his method of teaching.

Early on his teaching lead him into leadership development, first with finance and law in The City of London, then globally with clients in engineering and banking. He continues to teach at the Stockholm School of Economics on the International Management Program where he has taught leadership communication skills for over a decade. These days he teaches in every conceivable sector in almost every part of the world (see OUTCOMES).

Phil has written two books; The Remedies. Enhanced Communication Skills for the Leader and Clearer Spoken English both of which are now part of his online learning resource, The Blissvoicebox, which supports his learners before, during and after in person or remote teachings. His highly acclaimed learning platform delivers in written, filmed, recorded, illustrated and animated format. It houses each client group in a private branded portal where learners can upload filmed footage to help tailor the training.
As a teacher Phil loves to learn; to embrace any tech or method that will take his learners to where they want to be.
